BMW M6 AC Schnitzer

When the BMW M6 first came out everyone thought that is was perfect. But not Al & Eds Autosound in West Hollywood,Ca.

When we were approached with the opportunity to transform an already amazing car we knew that it would not be an easy task. Here is a detailed list of everything that was done to this car.

EVERYTHING AC SCHNITZER (ACS)! I mean everything! We could not wait till the parts started to come into the U.S. First came the light weight 20″ wheels. Then we installed lowering springs and a strut suspension brace. Then came the exterior body kit. The front bumper fascia was replaced with the chrome grille inserts and carbon fiber front defusers. The rear lower bumper section received a carbon fiber defuser and exhaust.The trunk received a deck lid spoiler and ACS badging. We then installed a Vorsteiner carbon fiber hood. It was a tough decision to make but we decided to paint the hood BMW jet black and only leave the carbon fiber vents exposed. Although we lover carbon fiber it never our intention to make this car look like every other Japanese car with a CF hood. To finish off the exterior we installed CF kidney grilles and smoked the front headlight eyebrow sections black as well as the rear tail light white section.

Now on to the interior. ACS foot pedals, e-brake handle, iDrive cover and floor mats were a must. To enhance the driving experience we installed a sport inspired thicker steering wheel with CF by Hartge.

Since this car was meant to go fast and the owner did not want to get speeding tickets we installed the Escort SRX radar detector with front and rear laser defusers. The controller is installed in the ashtray.

So now we saved the best for last. High end audio!

Rockford Fosgate 3sixty.2 processor with 153 bands of equalization, time alignment and an independent subwoofer control knob. After we install this device and hook it up to our laptop via bluetooth we can control and tune each speaker in the car independently.

Focal Utopia Be Kit No.7 three way component speakers we installed in the doors

Focal K2 Power series speakers were installed in the rear seat factory locations.

Two JL Audio W6 series 10″ subwoofers we installed in a custom fabricated enclosure in the trunk. A special port was used to move the sound into the cabin through the rear seat armrest area.

Three Alpine PDX series amplifiers totaling over 2200 watts of power were installed in the trunk. Black leather and carbon fiber fabric were used to finish off the display panel.

Ive always loved everything AC Schitzer, except their wheels.. But you guys did a hell of a job on that install!!
