CLS550 stereo questions
I posted this on the MBZ board but its getting no love, so I figured I'd move it here. I apologize if anyone has to look at this twice.

Al & Eds, I emailed you guys earlier this week for an install quote but haven't received a response...

Hi guys,
I have an 09 CLS550. I'm led to believe by searching that the E class from the same year is very similar as far as audio goes, but I still have some questions. If you have any input on any of these I'd appreciate it.
1) I have the harmon kardon setup. Will this affect my ability to install a different head unit? Will I have to bypass the factory amp?
2) Anyone have experience with the Metra Axxess steering wheel control adaptor? (This: Amazon.com: Metra Axxess ASWC Universal Steering Wheel Control Interface (Black): Car Electronics). I can't find any reviews involving Mercedes.
3) Is there anything else I should know? Any surprises anyone has run into?
Thanks!2009 CLS550

Wow. Wish I'd have known abotu that sooner.
I ended up getting the E-Class Scosche dash kit and ASWC steering wheel module from Metra. From what I've read these should work fine. What I don't have is the antenna hookup.
Is the amp a simple replacement? I'm assuming it'll be under the passenger seat... but I assumed the battery was in the front, too. Would I need to run power to a replacement amp, or can I use the power that runs to the factory amp?2009 CLS550
