Tonal graphite sketch for "F430 Challenge" - an acrylic on canvas piece that Grant is currently working on for the art exhibit featuring his past and present works to be featured at the Marques d'Elegance show. This will be the the work's first public display.

Grant merges his twenty-year expertise of photography, excellent
technical drawing skills and his mastery of various art mediums to
bring the passionate emotions that these exotic machines exude, to the
surface of every sketch, illustration and painting.

After graduating Sheridan College's renown Illustration course second
in his class in 1989, Grant went on to have a two-decade long career in
advertising where his photography, digital illustration and graphic
design skills were used in hundreds of print and web advertisements
throughout Ontario and across Canada. During this, Grant nurtured his
Automotive Art, keeping his traditional drawing and painting skills
intact. He is now pursuing his Art full time.

His award-winning photography - Art in of itself - is usually only the
beginning. Grant uses this as an invaluable source of reference to
create his artwork. The final product can be a drawing using graphite
or conte, a painting using watercolour, ink, oils or acrylic paint, or
a completely digital rendering using a Macintosh computer.

Grant is a member of the international group Club Auto Artistes and an
invited member of the Transportation Artists and Authors Guild. His
work has garnered him numerous awards from juried shows and exhibitions
including the Automotive Journalists Associtiaon of Canada's "Art of
the Automobile".

Hi guys to those that voiced their interest in volunteering for Marques dElegance car show there will be a meeting at Paletta Mansion, 4250 Lakeshore Road on Wednesday Aug. 15th at 7:00PM.

Saturday August 11th Marques d'Elegance will host breakfast at Humberview Motorsports 1650 The Queensway , followed by a drive.

If you have not registered this will be another chance to register your car & buy general admission tickets for the upcoming Marques d'Elegance Event on August 19th. It is also the organizers way to say thank you to those that have already registered as well as those that volunteered to help on show day.

8:00AM Meet at Humberview for breakfast.

9:30AM Depart Humberview & drive to Paletta Mansion

10:00-10:30AM Tour the grounds at Paletta

10:30AM Depart for drive (about 1 1/2 hours--if no one gets lost)

12:00PM Restaurant for lunch ( Pay for what you eat here)


Registration opportunity at breakfast as well as lunch time. General admission tickets will also be for sale at that time.


AND of course:
Drive responsibly! The organizers are not liable for speeding tickets or other incidents.

Had registration drive but had to cut it short because of the rain. Only a few more days till show time.
