i looked at some old videos and saw that the cars enter from the cumberland st from avenue road then they take left on bellair st and then left again on yorkville ave and then they start lining up in from of four seasons down the street so lets figure out maybe a high ground or a patio on first floor where we can stand and take pictures.

If you want to see a show, Friday night is the time to go. If you want to get great photos, however, then I highly recommend waiting until Saturday morning as you'll not only have ideal light conditions (early in the morning = just enough daylight for photos but not enough to cast reflections/shadows on and around the cars) but there will also be far less people crowding around the cars. Just be sure, if you do wait until Saturday, that you get down to the hotel early in the morning because the cars will be on their way out by around 9:00 AM.

There's a shop on Avenue Rd. just around the corner from Yorkville Ave. opposite the Four Seasons that has a raised entrance veranda, which should be a decent place to shoot the cars from as they arrive. As for when the cars are lined up on Yorkville Avenue, the rooftop floor of the parking garage across from One Restaurant is an excellent vantage point, as well.

So do we want to meet up and roll down together, or should we setup a spot to meet downtown?
