    Default Insurance Sales?

Is anyone on the 4 an insurance rep? I am applying for a job with AAA, and I was wondering if anyone had any tips to make myself more appealing to a resume reviewer, because I have no sales experience, but in customer service I have much experience. Currently no college degree, but looking to make the most of my product (me) to them.

I am confident that if granted an interview I can sell myself and interview well, just need to get to that stage.
Damn ain't nothin' left of money, but a pile of ash,
Life is good, so please enjoy it, while it lasts

The first job getting into sales requires someone who believes in you, and convincing them why that's a good idea. You need to focus on your background in customer service and how that entails daily doing the same tasks as you would when selling something: identify the customer's problem, determine how to fix it, convey that in understandable terms, and keep the customer satisfied during the process. This is generally how you sell: figure what they need and how to provide it. By showing that you know and currently practice sales fundamentals, you can make it seem like an easy transition from customer service to customer sales. I did something similar by saying "The customers I work with now, I have to earn their business every day or they go to a competitor."

You also need to looking into what requirements there are to sell insurance in your state or the state you're targeting.
    Insurance Sales Agents
Every sales agent involved in the solicitation, selling, or negotiation of insurance must have a State-issued license. Licensure requirements vary by State but typically require some insurance-related coursework and the passing of several exams. Although some agents are hired right out of college, many are hired by insurance companies as customer service representatives and are later promoted to sales agent.
If you are aware of these processes, it will help a lot. Is the recruiter looking for licensed people, or are they looking for younger/inexperienced people to train and advance? Can you train on your own and then be a much better candidate?
