Thread: Blow & Injection Molding

Hi everyone,

I'm currently searching for a mold maker, and manufacturer for a new project of mine.
Thought I would throw a line out here on the 4 to see if anyone has recommendations.

I need tooling for injection and blow molded parts, as well as manufacturing for both.
Overseas cost is enticing but I'm not ready to fly overseas for QC, and Made in USA just sounds better.

What type of volume and product?

I would look into Alibaba to connect with an overseas (Chinese) operation. You can get everything setup cheap and easy. They are pretty easy to work with, from what I've seen. Unless you're making critical or very intricate components (generally you don't injection mold these) then the QC should be good enough. You can also find logistics firms in the states that would work with overseas firms to QC, finish, etc. product coming from overseas. Even if half the product is reject it's probably still cheaper than tooling and doing it all in the US. Again, would depend on your volume and product.
