Your right. No one reads the papers anymore. I'll ask the sales rep if I can just advertise on their online version.

Does anyone know any good mobile marketing companies? I found admob, owned by google....must be pretty good.

Admob is a pile of junk. You are going to have to wait a while before mobile ads become fully profitable.
As for using free viral traffic to generate sales. It all depends on what product and what market you are targetting.

If I was you I would not bootstrap in marketing especially when you can alway upsell your customers on the back end.

FB ads can be great for driving a firehose of traffic (more effective than Google in this regard from what i've seen.) however, everything i've read & seen, Google is far more targeted (intent vs demo/psycho-graphic.)

i like what LTL says above - use FB for the cheap traffic hose & to test creative/messaging/calls-to-action; and then plug those into the appropriate Google adwords.

all that said, this stuff is an art - and the best guys are either billing out at ridiculous rates or just selling their own crap.

I have had great success with FB ads actually for my online companies. I also found out my points from American Express can be used to now purchase FB advertising! I am loving this lol.

    Goodluck with your research

The score counselors advised that I try and market on several channels because the success rate on each one will be about 1%.

Do you guys think FB would be better than google adwords. I've read that people spend more time on FB than google.
