Default Serious about opening a business - Where do I start?

Over the past week, I have been seriously thinking about opening a bowling alley in my town. We already have one but its not that great and its not in the greatest area of the town. Some questions I have are, How do i start writing my business plan? Where do I go to get financing?

Most of all, Where and how do i get started doing anything? I plan on having it be like a family bowling but serve food, drinks ((non) alcohol). Im 19, so I don't think I would be able to get a liquor license.

Anything advice would be very helpful.

Do you have enough capital to cover operating costs for one year?

I have no money, so I would need investors and loans.

Hit up a rich family friend or marry a loaded girl. No business minded person will invest in you, sorry but someone has to say it. You seem like a go getter and a real enthusiastic kid but you have no experience, good or bad.

My uncle is a business man, and he's VP of a big section of ARB Inc. So I may call him and ask him what I should do.

If you have no way of getting money, even with a nice business plan, and what not just keep it on the bag burner and start something that is less expensive to start up.

It does seem kind of hard to start up a bowling alley so I may think about a clothing store or something.

Investors will look at your age, your (possible) plan, and scoff. You'll put no equity into the game, other than sweat equity. What will you bring to the table? At 19, I'm not sure what you could possibly say. Also, a quick search in this forum would present you with a bunch of links and information.

I don't mean this to be mean spirited in any way, and best of luck, but being serious about opening a business is not something you qualify by saying you've thought about it for a week.
