Thread: Is my site a good idea?

I put up a few new videos which I found pretty interesting. One of which is a story about a boy who can't see or walk but still plays the piano and is a member of his school's marching band

The site looks great now, but as carendt242 said, how will you make this work as a business? If you made the site to share stories and not generate you any revenue, then it looks good. But were you trying to generate revenue from the site? If so, how?

The 10% of blogs that make any real money do so through advertising and affiliate marketing but you'll need to see some serious traffic first. As I learned from others here; it's not the idea that matters, its how your going to execute the plan to make a profit that counts.

Well it would help if people would post some stories up but no one is doing so :/ I am trying to get people I know who know people with a big name to either tweet about my site or write on it but as of right now I'm stuck and I don't know how to advertise out

If you want other people to post content, you need to start a forum, not a blog. You need to get listed on the major blog directories like technorati.com and others. Tweet about the articles you write to help get them out there.

I think Score might be a bit out of bounds to what he is trying to accomplish at the moment but I like the thought process

I plan on doing just motivational things in general, and I made a twitter for it but no followers yet lol
