Got my new website up! looking for feedback or referrals
Hope this is ok to post here since I'm not a sponsor but this site does not make any money so it's not really a business yet.
I got it finished up last week and am just looking for feedback or opinions. the site is DetailerNow.com it's a national directory of vehicle detailing professionals. I don't have many listed yet so I'm looking to fill up the directory. If you know anyone in the detailing business point them my way! its free to list a detailing business and free for all users. let me know what you guys think! This is my first website but don't go easy on me. I want real opinions.
Thanks!

It looks clean but too basic. Then again so does my apple products and I love that about them.

You said don't hold back.
It looks straight out of 2000.
Get a WordPress template. Also, don't launch a site when you can even generate at least one detailer per state. I'd never go back after seeing that."Whatever you're thinking, think bigger." - Tony Hsieh

Just in time- thanks that was what i was going for...very clean and easy.
lifeoftheparty- the site was built with joomla so a wordpress template would not work. The listings are generated from the site so in time there will be more. its brand new. also, I said dont hold back yes, not "be a dick about it"

In my opinion you should go with wordpress just because its what everyone uses and seems to be the "best" and most "simple" way to create a nice website these days. That said if you are keen on using joomla that is fine. The website looks basic thus far, you should try to add some sort of "customer testimonial" for each company that is stored in the directory.

Honestly, that was not me being a dick. I work in the web business and see sites like this all the time.
The part about never coming back is a reality. An hour by yourself with a Google search would have 50+ detailers into a Joomla site.
Once again, I'd recommend WordPress. A free template would look much more modern. If you want to PM me I can link you to some great sites to grab from."Whatever you're thinking, think bigger." - Tony Hsieh

It's too blue and too simple (not the clean, sophisticated look either). Design a favicon and change the page's title so that it reads -- DetailerNOW | Your Source For Locating Vehicle Detailing Services or something (I'm talking about the page title which shows up on the actual tab... right now it reads DetailerNow.com).

thanks for the feedback guys. ill be looking into some of the suggestions. there are a few other sites that i have found that are the same idea but most of them have very old/out of date/just plain wrong info for the detailers. the reason i did not go out and fill my site up myself was that I wanted the detailers to have an active role in creating their listing.
