Default If you had 10 grand...

I've been granted a big responsibility recently and that's in the form of $10,000 that i'm receiving from the family farm. I know that may not seem like much to anyone out there that "wipes" with this daily, but hey, I'm 19 and I've never had that much all at one time. Being at a young age i have no idea what to do with it. I also made the mistake of asking friends my age that couldn't manage the money they got from a birthday card. I don't think it's much to start a business, so i'm not sure whether to invest it, pay off my truck, or just put it away. This has been plaguing my mind for the past week and i can't remember what i had for breakfast today. So, I'm asking in hopes of suggestions of what i should do with it. I'd also like to see what crazy unrestricted things someone would do with it.

Putting it in a CD? Why? So it can earn less than the rate of inflation and be worth less than $10,000 once it matures?

    Here is the tl;dr version

" I have 10,000 dollars in a CD, what should I do with it?"

Well, it wasn't my decision. My mom's grandma had gotten her one back in "the day" and it must have worked out then, so she thinks its a good idea now. I would not be offended at all if she just gave it to me in 1s, but where's the best place to put it? I know its not good, but i just put everything in my checking account and call it good.

From what I've gathered so far is that, I should go to Vegas.
