Default managing google adwords for a small business

i haven't really kept up with this & i'm sure there's something better than the terrible adwords interface. trying to help a friend out before xmas - what's the best tool out there for managing a small (< 500 words, < $500/mo) adwords campaign?

ideally, something where you can enter your main keywords & max bids, it'll automate bids/keywords, and/or suggest new words.

    thanks,

You won't want to use a 3rd party bid management platform for that budget. You're best bet is to control each of those variables in the AdWords UI directly. They added automated bid management a few months ago, and you can use their keyword suggestion tool for free.
