Really love it, though I doubt Microsoft will get us there. Especially since this seem to have featured a project that Gates himself may have axed. The inside story of how Microsoft killed its Courier tablet | Microsoft - CNET News

Nicely made video...It doesn't seem too far in the future that we'll be seeing stuff like that IRL however i doubt it'll be Microsoft that'll take us there.

Sorry to be the Debbie Downer, but we're quite a ways away from seeing anything close to this. At the application level, we're getting closer to seeing this type of capability. But at the mobile connectivity level, this ain't happening anytime soon. The backhaul necessary to achieve this level of near instantaneous download and upload is enormous, and even then there are laws of physics that also act as something of a bottleneck for the data transport needed to make this video a reality.
Even if you could get enterprises like Apple, Google, Oracle, Cisco, Samsung & GE to collaborate (which would never happen in this lifetime) on the different aspects their product sets and R&D would play in this type of world, they'd still have to account for the massive global data network needed for their applications and products to work. When I'm not here, I'm slinging IT infrastructure or gone golfing

Everything is a screen in the future haha. I like the concepts in the video, major cudos go out to whoever designed the UI for all the applications seen. I really hope the future is like this, but the sad truth is that if our technology is that advanced, there will be no need for 90% of the jobs we have today. Rampant unemployment and overpopulation would occur causing a complete breakdown of society in general. But thats just my assumptions haha.
It's not enough to succeed.
Others must fail.

Very cool video!
I've been fascinated with the idea of being able to 'throw' images onto any surface and manipulating it in free space. Don't think I'll be able to see it in this lifetime but you never know!
