Thread: My New Company - MyNyte

Hey guys! I just launched a new company called MyNyte! I want to see what you all think about the idea and site. It is in a pre-launch phase right now and will be completely up and running in the next month or two. We have been working at this for quite some time now and I am very interested to see what everyone thinks. There is a lot to it and I am very excited to be able to share it with my family on the 4!

MyNyte will be a website, mobile site and iPhone App for you to use for free. It will help you plan your night out with your friends. Let's say you are interested in going out tonight in the city of Miami. You will be able to set your location to Miami and see the hottest / most popular clubs based on where users are planning to go. Basically, you will be able to see what the club will be like before even going out. As we say on the site, no more nights gone to waste. There are a lot of really cool features and concepts that will be involved with the site including what we call entourage, bumps and frenemies, but I don't want to spoil it all now.

Please check it out and feel free to create an account. The only thing live now is the website. The mobile site and iPhone App are still a few weeks out. Right now, you can set up your profile and connect with others on the site. More features will be unveiled soon.

I think it looks pretty cool, great idea if you can pull it all together. How are you getting it out there to people, because ultimately the success is based on the users and the more users you have the more beneficial the service will be?

Are you advertising at all, or how are you marketing the site to build a user base?

Thanks John! We are diligently working and getting it all in order. We do have a very in-depth marketing plan which will be used when we take the company national. We are using Tampa as a test market.

Users will be connecting with friends using the site, so the motivation to use the site comes from the user wanting to connect with friends to see what everyone will be doing on a specific night. Who wouldn't want to sign up to see where the best place to go on a specific night is, especially if it will be free? No one is necessarily giving up their plans, but they are using the site to invite there friends and make sure they are not going to have a wasted night.

Love it. There is definetly variations on this idea that are more localized but great great idea. How do you continue knowing what are the hot spots in each region? How will you be generating revenue? My thinking is when you have enough traffic you can charge venues to pop on top??? Great stuff. Good luck. Now thats what I call a legit startup.

Thank you Raw! For the site to work correctly, it will definitely need a good user base. Let's take Tampa as an example. Let's say I wanted to go out tonight in the city of Tampa, but I had no idea where to go. In theory, I would be able to login to MyNyte and look up where people in Tampa are planning to go. So, I would be able to look up Blue Martini, an upscale bar, and see that there are going to be 250 people there on that specific night because MyNyte users are planning to go there. You will be able to see male / female ratios too. Revenue generation will come from advertisements on the site. Redbull, Yellow Cab, etc. Bars / clubs will also be able to become the suggested venue for a fee. There are some great ways to monetize the site. I hope this has helped give a better explanation. awesome man, congrats. I was working on something very similar to this about 6 months ago and then it all fell through. It should be very successful, Ill join in when it comes over near my area.
