Thread: My New Company - MyNyte

Hey man, I run a fund that helps startups reach critical mass ...I spent 18 years as an entrepreneur where I had many failures and a couple of really great successes. ..so I've been there...here's some free advice;

- the name is not good, the spelling might be "k00l" but that doesn't help get the word out.
- ezvip was the one on shark tank, they just partnered with pitbull. I wonder if you shouldn't just reach out to them and partner on your tech/app?
- never assume you are way ahead of the market, no investor likes to hear that...it means you haven't done the right market research.
- seriously, the name sucks. You should change it. Not even sure how you can build a memorable brand over it.
- I don't see any social media partnerships on the site, seems odd, but perhaps I didn't go deep enough.


Good luck anyways, tough business, but it's great that you're trying, and if you fail, fail fast.

or smart - nothing wrong w/ failing for awhile if you're learning for the long-term.

I'm sorry I haven't responded sooner. I don't know how I missed these two posts. Thank you very much for the constructive criticism. There is a bit more to the site than just the idea. We patented a lot of algorithms used for this type of service and we are trying to push forward. I have a great team and we are working away at the next steps. Nobody said it was easy and I am not one to give up without a fight. I will keep you updated and I am going to take your thoughts into consideration. Thanks again! I sincerely appreciate it!

About the name... I don't know. I understand where Bulls is coming from but EZViP is also spelled differently than EasyVIP. I think you may take issue with the name because you are not the market this is intended for (you're an older fella). I also saw the episode with EZViP and was hoping that they didn't get a deal so that it'd be easier for you to get with them. I still think you should reach out.

So just a little bit of an update. I have an excellent new lead developer on my team who is propelling us forward. I can't wait to unveil what we have in store. This has been one hell of a ride, but it has been fun. We are now in high-gear and my excitement has been reignited. You guys are going to love what MyNyte will be able to do to help make everyone's nights so much better.

dude one tip, try and get more user reviews in the app store somehow... there aren't many and the last one is from quite some time ago.
