Default Dow Below 10,000

Dropped 384 points since trading began this morning, probably going to be some good buys if it continues to go down.

Jim Kramer said that if you need any money that you have in the stock market in the next 5 years, to sell it now.

Is this a good time to buy for long term, 10 + years.? Right now, I am getting killed....
Although, I don't need any of it for quite some time. Kids educations are still 12 yrs away, retirement is 20-25 yrs away.

That is kind of what I was thinking about doing. I was talking with some friends, and they said that it is possible the next 2 quarterly earnings for the companies will be pretty bad. They were saying that early 09 might be a good opportunity to buy in, and in 3-5 yrs we could see 50% or more. Because even after 9-11 the markets tanked, then rebounded.

I just took out loans to keep the chance of having money in a couple years alive for my brother and sister. Jim Kramer is an idiot.
