Default Kevin O'Leary from Shark Tank, Dragon's Den & more

Hey guys I've just read Kevin O'Leary's book, Cold Hard Truth. He will be coming to my school to speak and do a book signing in November and I've got a ticket. There is a lot about his personality that I can relate to which keeps me interested in what he has to say. I don't agree with absolutely everything he says or does, but I do understand where he is coming from. His story is pretty inspiring to me, especially as a university student where it's time for me to really work hard to set the tone for my future.

I started this thread to see what some other people's opinions on him are. Obviously his no holds barred honesty isn't for everyone and I'd like to hear some other opinions on his personality, O'Leary Funds and anything else you guys can think of.

I got to meet him this past year at an event in Toronto through Ivey. He sits on the Board at Ivey too and is a grad, lot's of UWO roots.

Obviously his character is over the top on television but he's a nice guy. Robert Herjavec (on Dragon's Den w/O'Leary) on the other hand seemed so down to earth yet is a huge egomaniac. I was surprised.

How was the book? I read one review that said it was great, and another that said it was awful.

I read it in a couple days actually I really did like it. I definitely recommend it, and it's funny you brought Robert Herjevac up, I picked up his book yesterday and read the first chapter in the long Subway line in the UCC. His book seems to be a little more business oriented with less personal story from what I read, but that was only one chapter and the table of contents

Dragons Den and Shark tank are great shows. His book makes reference to some specific deals from both. I definitely recommend reading it!

Dragon's Den (Canada) is 100x better than Shark Tank if you guys are looking for more material to watch.

I found Drive super simple but I've only ripped through the first couple chapters. I'll pick up O'Leary's book when I get a chance, just ordered a bunch of business related books yesterday that I need to get through first.
