All the domains I want are taken!
I'm really getting frustrated. These domain companies squat on these domains with no business going on with them. They just want to charge you cause they got to them first. I understand it's a business, but come on!
Lots of these companies don't even get back to you.
Any ideas how to get a domain that is currently owned by someone that isn't using it?
I don't want to spell the domain differently since it may be hard for people to search/remember. And I definitely want a ".com" rather than the others.
Any ideas on what to do?

Buy it from them or find a different name? Those are your only options. And don't blame the squatters, it's the name of the game. If squatters didn't buy them then someone else would anyway and they would be using it for some half-assed website and you wouldn't be able to get the name anyway.

I would think .xxx is just as good as .com
Don't argue with idiots...they will just bring you down to their level then beat you with experience!

There are domain brokerage services. I haven't used any, so I cannot point you towards one.

Just fyi. A lot of domains might be taken yes. But if whoever might own it hasn't paid for the bill you can buy it right away from them. It will still say and display that it's owned. You just need to contact the host.
