Default Venture Capitalists for Loans - or, Small Business Administration

Folks, having some trouble getting loans from government/banks or finding venture capitalists to support a new business.
    Any ideas?

I assume you're looking for funding? If that's the case you can always try angel investors. Send them or post a good solid business plan of what youre thinking along with any past successful ventures or projects. Show them your experience, determination and overall impress them. If they think you're worth it they'll help you out, good luck.

Shoot me a PM of what your looking for. I work with a private equity funding company and can do almost any type of funding. Actually working with another member on these boards to get him some cash for a business venture of his.

VC's are typically for later stage companies.

Not necessarily. PE is for later stage companies. VC by definition is for early stage companies and angel investing is a subset of VC that is mostly seed capital. But VC will fund very early, risky, growth investments, typically in the technology or biotech spaces. There are variants but that is the wheelhouse for most.

It's different depending on the industry, yes.

If this is a startup/launching company that is pre-money, you don't want a VC.

I am not trying to start anything because i think we are saying the same thing. Just from experience, pre-money can still be VC funds. When I will pull some comps as an example. We deal with the vc, pe hf and angles frequently

No, I agree. It's definitely possible and situational.

By convention though, and for someone who doesn't know, it's typically:
    1. Angel
    2. Venture Capital
    3. Private Equity
