    Working on a new website idea, finally pinpoint a perfect name that suits the site and describes the site in one word and..... domain name unavailable. Have an email in to purchase, I can about imagine how much its gonna be.

    ^^ it happens. I've owned several websites, everytime the first 10 names I want are taken.

    People charge unreasonably high sometimes too...I emailed to purchase for my last site, guy wanted $25,000 for domain name. No documentation to back up claims of traffic or anything.

    Good domains regularly go for $25 - 50k.

    I remember someone posting on here a while back "this is luxury4play and not affordable4play". I checked on "affordable4play" and it was available for like $10.
    I guess the time when such big numbers were paid 4 domains was a couple of years ago.

    I didn't say they have to be worth $25 - 50k! I'm saying you should prepare to pay that for a primo domain!
