Well, they are asking $12,000. I think its worth it, but for a side project that I don't have the most time to dedicate to now, I'll worry about the name later . It just added to my frustration that day.

Just got offered something big, which is GOOD, and super exciting (I know I'm in the FK thread) but isn't easy to settle on because not only is it probably too big for 1 person especially if I'm in school. And 2 there are 4-5 other serious things that need to be taken care of at the same time.
School (which will definitely complicate things)

This is a "FVCK" with a silver lining. I recently figured out that the major deal I closed last month was structured in such a way that my November & YTD results actually took a hit. Basically, b/c a portion of the deal included free hardware, it gets recognized as negative revenue until the rest of the ENTIRE order ships. Since some of the items are on product hold by the manufacturer until February, I'm actually carrying a negative number for this deal in 2011. But I will see a big bump in Q1 of 2012 when the final items ship, and we can invoice for the entire deal. It wasn't my intention to "sandbag", but that's exactly what's happening here.

The real problem I have now is that the negative number "unqualified" me for our Presidents Club trip by pushing me back below the qualifying threshold. This is the latest I've ever been in our year with not being set for Prez Club. I should have enough closing this month so that I'll "requalify", but instead of spending these last few weeks babysitting deals while out on the golf course, I'm grinding away at the home office to make sure nothing slips.

Above business opportunity feel through today. First real offer I've been given, and certainly a learning experience. A little better communication could have been done but I don't blame it on me. Another party already had their toes in the water and are now taking the distributorship, which is sad because I know I can do better for the company on much more broad scale. Although I can still get supply from them I was hoping I could get distributor+my business while I'm in school.
