If you were the CEO/President and saw...
This email exchange happened at work today.
Lab = Quality Control Lab Technician
VP = Vice President of the company and Quality Assurance
That is verbatim (names and companies left out for privacy).Lab to VP: I found a series of parts for a new order by a previous customer that has out of spec hits on several sectors. The work order details state to contact you directly for quality concerns. It's 90% junk and not to customer spec. Should I scrap the order?
VP to Lab: Who is the order for? What is the customer value to the company?
Lab to VP: What do you mean?
VP to Lab: Check the sales history on the customer in question. If they are less than 10% of our revenue, **** them and send it out. If they are more than 10% of our revenue, we need to fix it and suck them off. If it's [Company A that is 60% of our revenue] we need to cup their balls and comp them shipping for a month on all orders.

I would fire the VP... I now need the rest to see if the Lab Technician follows the VP's advice or shoots me a message.
If the Lab Tech follows the VP's advice = Fired as well.
If the Lab Tech messages me with concern = Bonus.CEO of CostPerBoost - www.costperboost.com

Really? If they were 9% of the business's revenue he wouldn't care? Wow. Thats a large percentage to disregard. I hope that the VP gets his "balls cupped" by a wood chipper for treating clients like this.
It's not enough to succeed.
Others must fail.
