Regular 9-5
Just thought I'd ask. Well let me start by saying I tried the search feature for this and came up empty handed. If this thread has been done please post the link.
Okay so my question is. Of all the people on this site. Is there anyone who actually has a regular 9-5 line of work. Im a Correctional Officer at this moment and I doubt highly that I'll ever achieve the level of "success" that some of you have doing this line of work. I am however curious as to what some of you do for a living that has granted you the privilege of living this lifestyle ?I stay reppin the 4MILY .

Self employed, run an Amazon store, I have no success as such however it pays for me to live and run a car, and i mostly do about an hours work a day. I make more money a day than friends do doing 8 hour shifts in "normal" jobs in about an hours work, so i can smile.
The best thing though is that when you put profit back into your business, your profit grows exponentially. I hope to be making threads on here about my new Rolls etc in under 5 years
I am not sure I could do a 9-5, i have dyspraxia which creates social problems for me, it took me 5 years to get through University because I am blunt and dont think before I speak (much better now though), I have no idea how I would get on in the workplace and to be honest I would much rather not have to!
If my business grows to the point where I have to hire staff I am seriously going to have to employ a family member as "HR" because for instance if a staff member was slacking I would just fire them there and then, which is illegal you have to give 3 warnings and go through the stupid legal process of it all
My friends love that I just "say it how it is" though! And this here, is my fourty five...

My "working" hours are 8am-6pm, however I am "on-call" 24/7.

I can work up to 80 hour work weeks when it gets busy. However, my "hours" are 3:30am to 12:30pm, then 7pm-9pm.....usually. Of course it can change on a minutes notice, but that's my normal day.
I own my own company and I am a commodity and futures trader. I manage clients accounts in the futures/commodity industry as well as my own. I created several automated programs that run certain clients accounts, but I am also a discretionary trader, so it comes at the price of always having to be near a computer and alert to what is going on in the world. Even on vacations I check in to see how things are going. Pretty much never "unplugged" from the world or work, but it is fun and I love what I do.

I am usually at work for 5-5:30am usually done between 5-6:30, Its great running your own business I love it, I am satisfied with my work. I do food manufacturing and the earlier you are at the Market the better the produce. I do have people at the market who work to find me the best produce, but they always want a little cut. so if your on it yourself it helps the pockets.

I'm a 9-5'er. Literally, as a contractor, I don't have to take the standard 1 hour lunch break that the exempt folks have to take. I just have to be at work for 8 hours. I dig it. There are rare occasions when I get to work some overtime, but I'm a M-F, 9-5 girl.
I used to do the corporate management thing, but I hated it, and made significantly less money being miserable and working 50 hrs and having to travel to shitty places for deployments of new software releases. Oh yeah, and having to work some weekends too. ICK."An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. I work (IT Operator) 10 hours a day 4 days a week. The time I'm not working, I'm outside on my laptop, working away on my startup.
