Thread: Has anyone here ever held public office?

I am going to run for a public office (not going to disclose the actual position just yet) in 2016. I've already compiled an incredibly impressive 'cabinet' that will apart of my campaign. It's a local position (county-wide only), and the incumbent, who will not be running again in 2016, won his election with $480,000 in contributions. I've already secured $200,000, and it is obviously still 5 years off. I've planned the most impressive social media/online campaign this county has ever seen, and I've already started positioning myself within the civic groups throughout the county.

I was hoping there might be one or two people on here that went through the process and can offer a little advice. Thanks.

I have a great deal of federal, provincial, and municipal (least) political campaign experience with high end candidates/campaigns. I've never run for office personally.
