May I have the pleasure of introducing...
DYZYN.
One night I just relaxing by the computer and an idea came out of nowhere, well maybe not nowhere, but you get the picture. It seems to have dealt with an "Entrepreneurship Journeys" seminar where the speaker happened to own a small clothing line. Fast forward to the Business Plan Presentation thread I created as I was trying to enter a contest for a chance to win $10,000 from an alumni at my school.
I had a slew of people contact me, help and guide me thanks to that thread. ChumpChange took time out of his busy day to talk to me on the phone with some of his suggestions. Other notables include GoGetter, lifeoftheparty., 2Props, and CallMeDPit.
However even with L4P behind me, I fell short of the first qualifying round, with the following explanation given: "Generally, fashion proposals and web-based proposals offer fairly high uncertainty, so when you combine the two I think there was concern about the likelihood that you could pull this off."
------------------
So here's to pulling it off and proving them wrong...
One of the largest problems associated with clothing lines or independent fashion brands is the fact that they don't have a central location to sell their goods. Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Kenneth Cole all have access to Macys, Bloomingdales, but brands like UNEQ and Rever simply don't.
DYZYN aims to change that. DYZYN will be an arbiter, a hub for exchange, much like Amazon or eBay but with more of a traditional retailer 'feel'. I place not only where designers can build a brand, but where consumers can come to a one-stop shop for all of their fashion needs.
------------------
I still have some work to do on the site, as it is in pre-launch at the moment, but overall the aesthetics are set. In the next couple weeks I will be forming the business itself, becoming search engine optimized, and contacting independent brands and designers to make them aware of DYZYN.
I would be extremely grateful to hear any and all criticisms of the site; whether something is broken, unappealing, etc... or about the business idea itself.
Lastly I'd like to sincerely thank Walrusforlife and Robert from Rever Clothing. These two individuals have helped me throughout the last several months, by making their images, time, opinions, and experience available to me.
Thank you,
JasonV

Stay after it.
Differentiate yourself as you have and stay after it.
Allow it, encourage it, embrace it, and support the morphing into its own success as the product, site, and business matures.

I love the idea, and would love to be on the site. A friend and I have been trying to launch a t-shirt line for a few months now. Love to see how this turns out.

good luck! May I ask what are you using to run the site? (wordpress?) what are you using for actual purchases, etc
"We were never satisfied being status quo. We were never OK just getting by. We pushed and drove at everything we have done in our lives to succeed in spite of those around us that would hold us back and naysay us. We finally realized that we needed to make our own rules to do things better. 99% of the people in this world do not understand us and what drives us.
