yes. We would pick up the food from the restaurants. All the menues from all restaurants would be available on our website from tacos, burgers, snack foods, you name it.

Would 10% + .60 a mile really cover costs? Almost seems like you'd need a bit more profit margin in there if you were to hire someone to do this for you.

Maybe a $$$ minimum per order or something.

Ya a minimum order would probably be needed. Papa Johns wont deliver small pizza's probably for that reason.

There was a service similar to this here in Florida that went under quickly.

Payment: The majority of your clients will pay via CC (automatic 3%+ gone from your 10% markup). For your clients that want to pay cash, will you purchase the food first, then deliver it? What happens if you get customers that make prank orders? Do not answer the door? You are out of pocket mileage + the food you purchased.

Theft: This is a big one with food delivery services.

Insurance: If you deliver food to someone and they claim to have gotten sick, what proof do you have that you did not tamper with the product? Car insurance since you are now using your car for "business" purposes.

Maintenance: Gas? Oil Changes? Wear & Tear?

You need higher profit margins and a larger scale operation

Order Food Online | Food Delivery | Restaurant Delivery | GrubCanada.com

Met the owner of this, pretty sure he went to my university. He grinded so hard to get in but now I see his stickers on the front of literally every restaurant in my city.

Big market for the nicer places (Jack Astors, Crabby Joes, East Side Marios, Shoeless Joes, etc) that are more $ and don't deliver. Plus things like Thai and other more 'exotic' foods have really got a boost in popularity it seems which also hits a higher price point.

Your late the the game but if the market isn't being served in your area there may be on opportunity. Really research how the established ones work.
