Thread: What's your motivation?

Kuester posted up a thread with some inspiring clips from movies and shows that got me thinking, what is it that motivates you to keep going or work harder?

The drive to become better and better at whatever I am focusing on. I can't stand not figuring stuff out or just walking away from the problem. Meeting it head on is the way to go and I usually can't put it down until its resolved.

I just love reporting to myself, plus i can do things my way. Call it a complex if you like but I just feel like I was born to do it my way.

My children.
Their children.

Wife. Sons. Love of the better things in life. Ego.

In that order.........

My parents

1) A better tomorrow.
2) People who say I can't.

The hunger, desire and want for my ideal life

Here in the last 2 years there have been 2 things that transformed me into this believe and never give up person.

1st thing is Charles "Mask" Lewis he lived by one word "believe" and he turned an idea into a multi-million dollar business in just a few years! In 1999 his company (Tapout) only made $30,000 in 2009 his company made nearly $200,000,000. After reading the story of how he and his close friends made Tapout what it is today is just absolutely amazing and so that one word that he lived by has stuck with me as well. Believe.

2nd thing is and this might sound stupid but this site has given me so much motivation and a desire for the finer things in life not just me but for my family. I haven't been a member for long but in the short time that I have I've gained so much drive and confidence, and after seeing how alot of you took something that was merely an idea and turning into a huge success is just inspiring. I wasn't blessed with wealth and I've never had any wealth it's been tough for my family and I ever since I can remember and to be honest I'm glad I wasn't born into money cause then I wouldn't have this drive to build a successful company I wouldn't have the drive to have my dream house, all the cars, money, being able to support my family and not have to worry about money, etc. This has become more than just a website it's become motivation to achieve all of my goals and I will achieve all my goals.

For me it's wanting to provide a place where everyone (friends/family) always feels welcome and can spend time together.

To give myself and my wife things that we were not afforded groing up.

To give my kids (when we have them) opportunities that were not available to me growing up.

To help the people around me to be successful as well.
