This could be an option in the relative future:

i have been looking for a good alternative as well, it sucks because most sites only accept paypal and not the smaller payment processors. I need it more for purchasing abilities than selling, as I no longer have a paypal account. i will check suggestions on here, thanks.

where are you at for 4% these days? i am surprised any bank is offering that anywhere still.

i like the idea of signing up for a paypal alternative, but i don't like the idea of forcing someone to sign up to send me a payment on it, so i'd look for one that can just accept a card and not force someone to register. also iirc ebay bans you linking to anything in competition with paypal, an annoyance as that is primarily where i'd use something like that.

libertyreserve is one I use often but its hard to get money into, VERY easy to get money out of though. Generally for every $1 USD you have in LR you can exchange it for around $1.3 USD paypal or 1.3USD Western Union
Or take a look at AlertPay (I use that often as well) or MoneyBookers.
