Are there any online courses for Stocks?
I was really into stocks when I was in college and had a mock account where I think I made like 74% in 5 months or something like that and I was just learning WTF I was doing. I don't know if I was just lucky or if I was really on to something, but during the past two years I just have not had enough time to get back into them. I want to eventually run a fund, or at least day trade for myself as I love economics + finance.
So I want to try and hone my knowledge. I know people have book recommendations, but I am looking for any online courses or videos that teach you how to read the graphs, and skills that I can utilize. I feel like I am more of a visual learner, than reading a book so any recommendation would help!

Not to barge in, but what's the best free trading mock program online?
My buddy has had alot of success with guidance from his father, but he had money to blow. But he says he's surprised I'm not reading about the stock market daily as he knows I'm an obsessive research based person. I don't have the $ he does but I have a very self taught personality so maybe I can make up some ground and invest in the future.
I figure it's never too early to learn and a mock account would be a good way to wet my feet. I had one in highschool and did well.Last edited by lifeoftheparty.; 12-01-2010 at 04:03 PM.

You MIGHT want to do some research on these people:
1. Oliver Velez
2. Greg Capra
3. Charles Vaccaro
Read this 409 page forum thread about them. Forums - Team Trading, Oliver Velez velez&pagenumber=1 . The saying "those that cant do, teach" is very true in the trading world. If I were you, I would do intensive background checks on all of these so called instructors. If they can teach so well on how to trade, then why arnt they trading during market hours?
What you're about to pay 1000's for, is the same information that can be found in a book. And I dont like most trading books.

I don't know of any training courses but as far as information goes, the Motley Fool (fool.com) is my bread and butter. They have extensive information and I make alot of educated investments based on certain knowledge gathered there. I have faired very well during these past few years and did very well before that. Things are looking up!
