    Evening All,

    Does anybody know what the rought start up costs and running costs would be of a website that offered

    Restaurant/Shops/Bars+Clubs/Takeaways

    Offers, Vouchers ect,
    I believe this sort of thing would have great potential, but dont exactly know how to get into it.

    If you're talking about deal-a-day sites, I think you've missed the boat.

    They are popping up constantly and who knows if the market can sustain them. But they might. If you have a unique approach it could work. I'd aim below the others and you might have some success.

    I am in the proccess of starting a similar site and can maybe give you more input once I get it up and running.

    But what you'd need to do, whether it's a deal-a-day or not, is to have a large enough set of eyes that is checking into your website, recieving your daily/weekly e-mails that businesses want to advertise through you. Then take a portion of the sales.

    I.E. Joe's Pub is offering $5/lb wings this Friday. For every one sold you take roughly $1.5. Which typically works well, your success is dependent on their success so you have a vested interest, and it requires not $ upfront which is attractive to those businesses who are needing traffic.

    I just read an article about all these coupon sites blooming up out the blue. If you want to go down that road, try doing something different. That sets you apart of the 20 other sites that just started up.

    Interesting site, and I actually seen it before when I was doing research for my ad business idea (which is nothing alike btw), but the whole coupon code thing just kinda got me lost. I never used coupons before so maybe im just not in the know.
