I am currently single and i would say 75% of my time goes into work. Right now I am on 4 jobsites, doing about 10 side work projects, trying to start something else, on top of trying to still be able to go out and live like a 25 year old should...

I actually turned off my phone this weekend, to only turn it on about 30 minutes ago to 19 voice mails....

Some people are truly busy....I get it. Most people like to make themselves busy so they can feel accomplished or like they are doing something. I see it all the time. Some of my clients say they are so busy yet they have time to read ESPN, post on internet forums, take long lunches etc.

Same thing goes for the gym. "Oh I spend 2 hours a day at the gym BLAH BLAH" 1.5 hours is sitting on your rump chatting with the other dudes there.

If you have to tell/remind yourself to find time for your family and friends.....you need to work your priorities out.

    My priorities
    1. Family
    2. GF/Friends
    3. Health (includes exercise, eating right etc and debatibly number 1)
    4. Money
My job has been my number one for 3 years now. I have no family in my apartment nor will I so I have no problem working alot. I put my phone on silent when in the car because it's a stick. I also leave it in the car during dinner or whatever when I'm out with friends. I have so many tasks being in management that I work overtime alot and have to bring home alot of stuff everynight. I feel like homework didn't stop after school. I always have time for my dog though

One of the best things I have done is not to have mail pushed. I poll every thirty minutes. It helps me with fam and work. My phone would beep non stop and I would not be able to walk around without having to read what was just sent. It is better to get a summary when not at a computer.

I hate going to professional sporting events and spending the entire time on my phone emailing. The best thing for me has been to schedule out time for the fam. I have to put it down as a "meeting" to make sure it happens.

I'm not saying that I don't make time for my family. I'm merely saying that I wish I could make more time for my family. I found a cool BB app that sends emails only during my pre-determined business hours. It will delay everything that I send in the after hours (if I want). It's called Cortado Save The Weekend. I only got the free version to try so it has an ad at the bottom but whatever...

(kind of ironic that I spend time looking for things like this instead of finishing up and going home.....this is a vicious cycle)
