I'll also point out that everyone wants to sponsor a winner. The better you are doing in your racing series the more likely you are to get bigger sponsors.

Community events and exposure are a great idea- do a booth at the larger car shows in your metro area. Hit up any of the local colleges that have motorsports programs.

As far as your presentation nowadays it needs to be dynamic- basically you are writing them a business proposal. Everyone and their brother is looking for money for something and if you don't want to be shuffled into the round file you have to have a presentation that catches your readers attention immediately. Do some reading back through the business thread for all of the discussions we've had about writing business plans- it will give you some direction. Also you need to fill your packet with visuals- Lots of pictures of the car, lots of pictures with you standing on the podium winning, lots of pictures of you and the car in the community. You want to show that sponsoring you gives your sponsor exposure-because that is what sells their product and justifies spending their money with you.
Repost You said everything I said...lol.
You know that guy LAbull on L4P, that's me, Brendan. Warning: If I typed it and it seems a bit off, it's probably SARCASM.

The one problem is, club racing has almost NO exposure, so you'd have to win a lot of races to get a big sponsor interested in that.

Right, but for my club race side of things I'm only looking at local businesses as it can benefit them more directly without the need for mass media exposure.

For my other side of things I'm looking at MX-5 Cup and Continental Tire for next season, both with decent media obviously CT a lot more than MX-5 Cup which doesn't get television coverage everywhere.
