    Arrow Shirts

I wasn't sure if I should post this in off topic or here, but I figured it might help those with the similar question.

I'm looking into making a few hundred shirts for an event, not going to make any profit but we want the shirts to be inked, like how Affliction shirts are... not screen printed. The reason is for the way the shirts are going to be designed.

    What's the process called?

I live in S.CA, OC\LA area, and will be looking for a company that can do it locally. Preferably, unless I find a company outside of my area that can do it.

Either way, does anyone know what that process is called?

Maybe post this in the art section? I'm no help, that's for sure.

Not sure what the process is called but I know the guy who colors the shirts as well as the guy who "ink"s the shirts and both in the LA area. Gotta wait til Monday though.

L4P member PASSMORE put me on to these guys local to you:

Pacific Splash | Your All Over Printing Source

They have the exact style you're after right on the home page. PASSMORE was kind enough to send me a couple of the shirts he had made at Pacific Splash and they are of excellent quality.

How are prices? Did you order anything from them yet?

I didn't order anything as I only need 50 shirts or so, and I think their minimum is 200 if I remember right.

You want a screen printer (yes, it is screen printing for what you are referring to) that is capable of large scale or wrap screening. The equipment is expensive and thus, not real common. The folks at Pacific Splash can do it for you at whatever price point you want.

No affiliation, just a satisfied customer.

PS - they are in LA, so semi-local for you.

Affliction is NOT standard screen printing! It is a process called (If I recall correctly) Dye Sublimation.

What it does is removes the dye from the blank shirt where the ink is going to go, then it replaces it with the color that the design is. This is why you cant feel the design at all, its because the color and ink of the design IS the shirt, not something on top. One of the most expensive printing methods...
