Thread: Effective Online Marketing

I am in the process of mocking up the costs to different ways to effectively market a new web based company I am launching. I am looking for some advice on different ways to market the company online. My market is strictly college students and college students parents. Facebook will obviously be a huge source for marketing but am looking for some other ideas.

My partner owns a very successful marketing company but mainly deals with marketing on paper/mailings. We are looking for some different routes to effectively market on the internet and was wanting some insight on some different options. All your help is greatly appreciated.

While I do know a couple of software-as-a-service (SAAS) companies that can help you, I do not want to violate rules and name or promote them. Their targeted marketing services can be great to getting at the market you want. If looking on Google or something does not reveal any results to companies that sound like they will work for you shoot me a PM. My girlfriend actually works for a SAAS company with offices all over the US and work with companies of all sizes

I work in online development/marketing/everything. It really depends on the type of company and who it is you are trying to reach and what you are trying to get them to do. If you want to PM me some more information maybe I can be of some assistance.

It really depends - are you savvy, willing to learn & analyze? If not - hire a company, it will save you a lot of time and money in the long run. I also do internet & print marketing if you're interested.

I would also say it depends on how quickly you want to see results... If you have time to grow and build, I would suggest learning the market and watching you strategy in Google analytics.

If you just want to get in and get it done...hire someone
