Default Is your business open or closed July 5

I want to work...My employees do not.

I sign the checks, so I guess they are stuck at work....

Are you working on July 5? Is your business open?

I always gave my employees the option of a 3-day weekend if July 4th fell on a weekend. I gave them the option of either Friday off or Monday off. Most of them wanted the Monday off. However, I did not take those days off myself.

Funny, we were just discussing the same issue here 2 minutes ago. I say nothing like a 3 day weekend.

My business is 24/7/365. Maritime shipping never stops. If I am in rotation, I go. Christmas eve at midnight, or whatever, I go. But I must say that I only work 24 weeks per year though.

We are closed, if I piss off employees they would just go to work for my competitor, and it cost way too much to train new hires. not worth it. Besides a happy employee is more productive and pays for itself in the long run.
