How to Become a Millionare in 3 Years
A very worthwhile and easy read with pivotal advice
The author writes:
"This was originally a comment made in response to a hacker news thread titled: Ask HN: How to become a millionaire in 3 years?
The comment has over 200 up votes, which means people found it useful. I decided to add more thoughts, refine existing ones, and put it in a permanent place. This is just my own humble advice and I hope it’s useful for entrepreneurs.

I’m going to go and replace 3 years with a “short time frame”.
Here is what you should focus on if you want to become a millionaire in a short time >

I thought so too - I just launched my first business last month so I've spent a lot of time taking in all the advice like this.

good read, i guess its always nice to have an idea of what you want in life. personally i want to have my own tuning shop. Coming up with original ideas is a pretty tough task.

The reason I seek out and read articles like this is more for perspective than anything - as a young guy with out a ton of material success behind my name, I'd be hard pressed to say I know better or not, but I find that the right attitude and perspective makes you wealthy from the moment you realize how powerful it can be.
With that I don't think it's a matter of originality, if you have 30 minutes to spend watch this:
YouTube - David Heinemeier Hansson at Startup School 08
David Heinemeier Hansson reminds us "Zappos sells fuvking shoes! But they're a great company" ... people have sold shoes long before them, but they're a leader in the industry. Originality isn't everything.

Great read. As simple as some of the points may seem, doing the obvious stuff well is a significant characteristic of a successful business.
