Being a health insurance company will be huge, when Obama makes it mandatory that everyone has it. :unamused:

People are just now starting to realize what happens when you expose your private life to others. Your stuff is posted all over the web, everyone knows how much money you make, what youre doing and when, if you're home or not, etc.. The nigerian princess emails, the broker scams from trying to sell stuff on CL, etc..

All that will finally piss people off to the point that they just close up and shut down all their online personal networking. Myspace is pretty much in the toilet, facebook isnt growing near the speed it was and CL is nothin but hookers and scam artists anymore..

People will start craving privacy, They will want fences and gates around their homes, anonymity in the world..

Just my opinion on it.. I wouldnt put a dime into anything helping people connect with other people..

i would like to agree with your prediction, and i totally feel the same way. unfortunately, movies like idiocracy (see above) illustrate pretty well that people are trending towards increasing ignorance and lack of manners/respect/whatever causes them not to whore around online. class is on the decline, along with the rise of what you're talking about, and i can only hope it'll change

I am hoping that automotive themed t-shirts will be the next boom!

On a more serious note, I think delivering content digitally will become a bit of a boom. Television won't disappear anytime soon, but it will not be a medium unto itself. It will simply be the largest screen where you can have you content delivered.

Hum, I really quite interested in putting some savings into NG.

Although, does anyone know some good LED companies? I'm seeing them pop up everywhere.

You have to accept that fact that you can't predict the next boom, you just have to hope you're remotely involved in it to take full advantage of it.

LED's look promising, but I don't really see that as a "boom". No where comparable to the dot com or housing and such...

Also, I like to call it a BUBBLE versus a boom
"We were never satisfied being status quo. We were never OK just getting by. We pushed and drove at everything we have done in our lives to succeed in spite of those around us that would hold us back and naysay us. We finally realized that we needed to make our own rules to do things better. 99% of the people in this world do not understand us and what drives us.

I have a connection with someone at Facebook. The amount of marketing data they collect is insane, also the detail of info. Broken down to age groups by months. Of course that data is highly valuable.
