    Same here! There is no way you can really just "start" and in n out, no matter how profitable it would be. When I left a couple years ago, they were expanding into Utah, so I'm not sure what they're doing now. But the store manager of each INO is guaranteed to make between 110-150k a year! So if all else fails, there is an option. Probably not the most appealing option, but an option nevertheless.

    they have a in n out in las vegas its off of trop. i go there every time im it town, you can see the sign from the freeway. found out there are a lot more too.
