Doing business with Ferrari NA...
So yet another one of my projects is to cultivate an interesting idea I had for product placement in the North American network of certified Ferrari dealers.
I work closely with the authorized NA distributor of a high-end mineral water that happens to come in a glass bottle designed by Pininfarina. Nothing off the wall, but a perfect representation of the smooth and stylish lines that have made Pinin designs classic.
Anyhow, I was thinking about what sales reps offer their prospective clients as refreshment at the dealership, and somehow I can't imagine Poland Spring to be the ideal choice for someone about to write a quarter-million dollar check.
I am not saying that this water is flecked with gold or comes in a crystal decanter, but rather that I feel this might be an idea that would add positively to the already stellar image of the Ferrari brand.
I've tried calling on Ferrari NA corporate HQ in NJ, but their phone system or secretaries always seem to lead me down a blind alley. Hoover's provides some details, but my suspicion is that any email addresses from there have highly-sensitive spam filters to prevent solicitation.

Any ideas from my fellow L4Pers? Suggestions for interesting angles of approach are much appreciated. Many thanks!

find out who distributes water/refreshments to them - and approach the distributor. (this might/probably varies across the country, but proof of concept in one location would make it an easier sell to other locations.)
or ask MTK - i think he has a direct line to the president of Ferrari in his bedroom.

Chuck,
Thanks so much for the advice; that's a great idea! As you said, I'm sure distributors vary by region, but indeed, proof of concept might get Ferrari NA to standardize across the board. Not to mention it's good water (both still and sparkling varieties), as it's not as gaseous as Pellegrino, which I find too harsh.Boost Is Better

Thanks for the valuable feedback guys, this all helps in formulating my strategy and pitch to make this happen. Maybe I will talk to Parin at Chicago Motor Cars as the importing company is also based in Chicago.
