    Question Help me understand...

why a relatively big, international city wouldnt have even one car tuning/modifying shop.
I used to just simply dislike the fact but lately I'm taking a more and more serious approach to this question and am thinking about changing it.
I really dont see any reason 4 this?
    Do you?

not everyone is into modding cars...... simple answer. Most tuning shops I know are WAY away from big cities. My friend's shop is atleast 30 minutes by freeway out of Atlanta.

Big city rent is expensive, many high end car owners don't live in big cities, or if they do, do not keep their cars in the city. Big cities may have certain noise regulations etc.

Of course rent is expensive but I was more thinking about buying property.
Frankfurt is tiny and yes, you're right- alot of cars are registered to surrounding towns which are within a max 30-50 KM radius. But even there- no shops. Nothing...
If you work here, come here for shopping, posing and meeting- why not come for car improvement?..
Almost nobody has even rims on their cars..

I didn't realize that you were in Frankfurt. Unfortunately I am unfamiliar with that region so I don't want to give the wrong input there. My understanding is that most tuning shops start as small family businesses that start with a small budget. The big cities are sometimes too expensive when compared to the little places in regards to buying property.

Hey, but it is possible that simply no one has bothered to actually start a shop there

As far as safety is concerned, yes. If you meet all safety regulations, you can do anything to your car.

    Why?

I did a google search and I got 3 results. Googled "frankfurt tuning shop."

Looks like they all only do VW and BMW.

    Which ones?
There's only JD Design which is a wracked garage that puts tiers onto rubbish rims and puts them on the car again.
All the others are just some online shops.
