    Who thinks QE3 is coming today?

    I guess they're taking the idea from Draghi and the ECB who opened up unlimited bond buying the other week LOL.

    It could happen, I'm not completely sure.

    There won't be any QE3 until next year (if it does come). Positive GDP, positive NFP, stockmarket at 13,300 and now the ECB has acted to improve Europe. Not to mention I don't think the Fed has ever implemented a major policy move when one is already in action in their entire history - they vowed to extend Operation Twist until the end of the year.

    That's my take on the situation anyway...

    Well, looks like I was wrong. Fed announces to purchase MBS @ $40b per month with no end-date.

    QE3 will have little or no effect on the overall economy. I believe we are in a liquidity trap and the only option left is fiscal policy.

    The only option is to deflate the currency and start the depression now. However, that won't help political careers, so we'll print into massive inflation or hyperinflation and totally devalue the US dollar.
