    Default Apple on a decline??

Does anyone else see/think that Apple is heading into decline like back in late 80's and 90's. I don't think Apple is going to collapse tomorrow or anything major, just since the passing of Steve Job's, the company has lost its edge I feel.

With the MBP, all the components are soldiered or glued making it very expensive to repair and/or update, making it very unappealing to businesses and consumers who look to have a laptop for longer then a few years. I think a lot of people will still buy the new MBP, but people on the fence might be tipped against it.

Second with the OS.6, while its important to have strong software, the new iPhone better be pretty impressive or else it wouldn't make sense to get it for users of a 4s and some 4 who would have to be paying a high price for a non-upgraded phone, I think that 4G speed is most likely going be included, but is it revolutionary enough to have an impact like the original iPhone to the iPhone 3g and then the iPhone 4.

I could go into greater depth here, but I want to see what others have to say.

Apple hasn't even peaked yet, still has untapped markets of TV.

I have always believed that Apple was a bit of an odd stock. I believe that Apple will not survive forever and that it is relatively short term that it will trend as high as it is. Unless it looks into severe expansion into the manufacturing sector for parts it will be a business that is replaceable. Will the stock fall now? No, I highly doubt it. As of this moment I actually would say the stock will go up, it's in a bit of a slump for now but that's merely because it has been very quiet on their fronts in regards to what truly composes their bottom line. We will see some upwards movement nearing the iPhone 5 announcements, new iPad announcements as these are the most influential products in their line up.

It's because the hipsters are no longer cool anymore since the exclusivity of an iPhone is long gone. Maybe Nokia will make a comeback? Bring back the brick!

When Apple went from the original iPhone to the 3G, its changes were significant, everyone who had the iPhone wanted to upgrade and everyone who didn't have an iPhone wanted one. The 3gs came out, it was bought by a lot of people who had the original iPhone and they could finally use their upgrade and a lot of people who had BB's. Then when the 4 came out, everyone who had a 3g or 3gs basically upgraded to the 4 because it had the flash, the new screen, the better camera, Facetime, etc. When the 4s came out people bought it, but a lot were like ehh, and now with the new software update, the 4 and 4s are going be some pretty fancy machines, so if there is nothing spectacular about the next iPhone, people won't be as persuaded to get it (for me not even 4G wouldn't be worth it). There is also some stiff competition from Droid as it continues to work out kinks.

Not that Apple has to much control with what Verizon does, but with Verizon's new pricing system, its even more advised not to change devices because then you get switched to the new higher priced program.

I'm betting on Nokia. Not being in the same league as Apple market cap wise but gaining market share. It's priced like it's on it's death bed and I don't see Microsoft allowing that to happen. Bumpy ride that's for sure.

Bought apple at around 550 a little while ago when it went down hill for a few days. To be perfectly honest that stock should be at 600 all day. They continue to post profits that exceed the analyst predictions and always come out with excellent products. The only thing in my opinion that is holding it back is the news with Greece and Spain hitting the newsstands every day. I agree with the above mentioned in regards to the untapped market of television sets. I don't buy stocks like apple for short term I look for the future and apple looks like it has a bright one.

i TV will change everything. When that happens, apple will be at a new level.

What the TV has to do is integrate programming better, improve web and app experience on TV,

As times goes on, apple will change for the worse though.
