^That is a misconception Microsoft is going to have to work on. Windows is not particularly worse in those regards, it's just the majority of manufacturers sell low quality stuff that customers buy because of the cheap pricing.

Viruses are really a big issue that has to do with the user base. As Apple increases in OSX users so will the number of viruses, and if OSX catches on with the business sector Apple will be in just as bad of a position as Windows is regarded to be.

They ruined the MBP by going with a non upgradeable SSD. IMO

For every 1 computer nerd that cares about specs and features, theres 10 apple fanboys and girls who don't care what they are buying as long as there's that familiar Apple logo on the product. It's less about technology and more about branding with them. They'll be fine.

They care about the brand when it's not their money or have no real purpose for the computer. That all changes when they have a job to do and a Mac can't get it done or they have a budget and when they compare models and see that Apple gives less for more money.

Windows need to tighten up contracts with manufactures. Have minimum hardware requirements and no additional pre-installed software.

I agree, because you have to unload half of the useless software that comes with a PC in the beginning. Cheap hardware usually gives a user a less than desirable experience for the consumer who will ultimately say it was Windows instead of the crappy computer.

You're born, you take sh*t. You get out in the world, take more sh*t. Climb a little higher, take less sh*t. Then one day when you're in the rarified atmosphere, you've forgotten what sh*t even looks like. Welcome to the Layer Cake son.

I agree, if Windows has minimum hardware requirements that its PC manufacturers must abide by to be a license partner, it would provide a better experience, but this may not be entirely feasible. Sometimes people are looking for a cheap computer and to get such low cost means less than decent components, but with the cheap computer they should have an expectation of a sub par machine. I do like when computer companies like Lenovo partner with Microsoft to create things like "Lenovo Exhanced Experience" to better facilitate the relationship between hardware and software.

I think as a whole the computer industry is changing significantly, we now have phones smaller then a deck of cards, yet significantly more powerful then desktops from the last decade. To stay competitive all sectors are going to have change strategies, I just feel like Apple's not moving in the best direction with its latest moves and new product innovations.

As for the stupid useless software, I agree, I don't understand why they come preloaded, every time I get a new computer, the first few hours are spent removing all the non-necessary software and creating a re-image disk so that I never have to go through the process again. The best option would be an online site, where users can easily choose the programs they want on their system and have them downloaded as opposed to being give a bunch from the beginning.

Back up to 600 like I mentioned in my previous post. Sold at 603 and plan to buy more when it dips a little with the jobs report coming out. Will buy again the day they release their profits. iPhone 4s sales have been huge ontop of the iPad sales. Should be another successful quarter for apple.

Apple pulled all of its products off the EPEAT standard for environmental technology which means government agencies across the country can no longer purchase Apple products.

Also I am not sure iPhone 4s and iPad sales are that big this quarter, guess we will have to wait till July 24th (my birthday!)

I could really see this hurting their sales to the Educational sector which actually is not that insignificant. I've come to notice that many school districts have actually started to convert to Apple products, we'll have to see how that plays out.
