Thread: 2012 BMW 640i finally seen in person

I haven't seen one except in MI:4 or pictures but saw one on the freeway this morning and it looks fantastic. (I tried looking for the Southern California spotting thread but couldn't find it).

Has a real nice presence about it, can't wait to see an M Model in the new future. What do you guys think of it?

Love the wheels, saw a 650i on my campus a week ago, beautiful car, looking even more forward to the Grand Coupe version

Why do people get the 640i though, I would think people would want more power in a coupe, isn't that why they are getting a coupe and not a 4 door sedan?

From the reviews it seems the 640i is plenty of fun to drive. It's the same as V6 Mustangs, people want the look but can't afford the higher end models. But I agree, go big or go home.

It's still too heavy and the steering lacks the old BMW feel, but the looks have clearly improved.

The new 6 series is all over the place over here. The 650i sounds pretty good as well, although I believe most of it is electronically generated.

Not bad, our software adds a good amount of power to these as well

A buddy of mine got one, surprisingly it keeps up with my CL. Interior is really nice too.

My dealer has one of these in the showroom. It's a beautiful car, but a little big and heavy for my taste. Certainly more of a "Gentleman's Express" than a sports coupe.

saw one for the first time yesterday, it was pulled over on the side of the high way. chp didnt look to happy to be honest lol
