I have heard about this car/engine mentioned a lot in various circles back in August, but could never find pictures, good work Misha, I have always wondered what happened to the project, some speculated it was never going to happen. However, I believe your stats are a little off, they were saying a little over 500hp and 650lb/ft, but none the less an amazing vehicle, thanks again for the pictures. Still waiting on official numbers from BMW, but this is going be a sweet engine for sure.

MalibuMafiaV, currently most of BMW's twin turbos utilize one small turbo to kick things off and have a larger turbo for once the engine is putting out, this reduces turbo lag. The plan with three turbos, is one small to minimize turbo lag and the two large ones to give a huge boost to performance especially once the engine is reeving.

Yes I know. But it just seems dumb to me using 3 turbos. A bit of overkill.

They should have taken the 4.0l V8 Diesel and refine it..... instead of squeezing out 380hp of the "small" 3.0 liter I6 ....
I guess this engine won't ever see the 200k miles without getting renewed ..

The reason is: "average fuel consumption: 6.3 litres/100 kilometres" due to the fuel price these days in some countries...
