Default European Delivery BMW Welt - any thoughts?

Well, it appears confirmed that US delivery of the F10 M5 will not occur until August 2012 as a 2013 model. Even though there are a few F10 M5s already on the streets in Europe. Also, my cousin in Canada confirmed Canadian Delivery in May 2012 with March production.

Anyone on L4P ever do the EUROPEAN DELIVERY? pick up from MUNCHEN - BMW Welt?
If so, what has your experience been? And I wonder if we could even order from Munich and export from GERMANY to USA before US deliveries start Aug 2012 (i.e. could I get the F10 M5 into the US through the WELT before first deliveries start in Aug 2012?).

    Any thoughts?

Hi I'm based in the UK so have no experience of ordering, just visiting and customer and collection. Great experience and the musuem is great.Don't think you can order and export.......and I think you would find it very very expensive.

Oh and the F10 M5 is a monster!!!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember a thread here about a member who bought a new M3 there. Will try to find it!

I heard there are a few F10 M5s on UK streets...do you have one? How much of a MONSTER is it? How do you like it compared to the E60 M5? Pixs and Vids please since I have to wait til August 2012.

Yeah, I have heard about EUROPEAN DELIVERY where the customer picks up the car from MUNICH and drives it around Europe before shipping their new BMW back to their home. I think LUFTHANSA had some special airfare as well...it would be great if you find anything out re: the client who bought their M3 from MUNCHEN.

I did it and it was one of the best trips of my life...and I have been around the globe doing lots of things lol. Definitely take a couple weeks and tour Europe. It was perfect to break the car in and they even did the 1200 mile service in Europe for free. Here is my write up if you want to take a look...

I have had clients do this. You can also do the Euro Delivery then have the car delivered to SC for Performance Center Delivery.....the ONLY way to take delivery of a car and its FREE. They use to give a one day M school with purchase of M5 are they still doing that?
