If you can wait one month and go to Europe, I would do that.... here is what I just found out

"production of US Spec 2013 M5s start in July and will be avaliable for European delivery on September 1st 2012"

I think you can get the 3 series 4 door on Euro delivery also slammed...at least I know you can get the 4 door M3 on Euro delivery because there was one on the floor when I was there
Hmm..I can't remember right now whether it is the regular 3 series sedan or which model. However, I know for sure that the M3 is different, because they are all built in Germany along with the coupe and convertible.

If you can do the European Delivery I would highly suggest it. I've read countless threads on the matter and have never heard a bad thing. From personal experience as well there is nothing like cruising around Europe in a factory fresh BMW.

Anyone on L4P ever do the EUROPEAN DELIVERY? pick up from MUNCHEN - BMW Welt?
If so, what has your experience been? And I wonder if we could even order from Munich and export from GERMANY to USA before US deliveries start Aug 2012 (i.e. could I get the F10 M5 into the US through the WELT before first deliveries start in Aug 2012?).

    Any thoughts?
I did a ED last April and wrote it up here.

M6Cabrio..amazing write up. I am glad I stumbled across the thread because I have always wondered about this program myself. I also have been wanting to travel to Europe so may as well do both. Looks like an absolutely amazing experience.

Yes, all has been arranged by the local dealer. The sales manager has prior experience with ED and all has gone smoothly so far. There are many dealers over on some of the BMW-specific boards that will setup an ED for you with a no-haggle attitude, in case your local dealer isn't so accommodating.

Thanks - wish I could share the trip with you. Hopefully this will be just the first ED that I am able to do .
