Thread: Wheels Boutique & The Yacht Light Master's X5M ADV.1 Wheel experiment....We call it, THE DEEP SPEC.

Here at ADV.1 we like to experiment sometimes : ) Usually it's complete fail but sometimes newness happens! So the Yachtmaster orders some new wheels for his x5M and leaves it to me and Ben to come up with something for him......At first I was gonna do some penis shaped spokes or something but I figured that was a little over board, instead the Deep Spec happened. He wanted something with a deep lip but at the same time wanted to avoid that annoying water retention vibration issue that standard 3 piece wheels can experience when driving in heavy rain conditions...The only option was a step lip setup but he also wanted a Deep Concave profile and normally a Track Spec wheel would be the only option but wouldn't really give the deep lip he was after.

Long story short, the DEEP SPEC happened, our newest configuration resulting in now 77 styles offered by ADV.1 (11 styles in 7 forging configuration options). The DEEP SPEC combines the deep concave look with our contoured spoke profile Track Spec wheels, it's like having a really hot wife who doesn't talk! It's the best of both worlds! 22x10 / 22x12 with a 5.5" lip and max concave depth pressureness!
We finished them in our classic "Ben Special" polished / brushed combination. (We call it that because Ben thinks he invented it but really he's just special)
