Should i buy?
Dont need it but want it. 2003 540i, black on black, sport pkg and all other option but nav, which to me is a good thing. Like new, drives perfect. Smooth clutch, interior mint. 67k miles. Can buy for $16,200. Would like to buy it, again, dont need it at all but love the classic E 39. Good deal? Was planning to sell my Z06 in the spring and has an e39 as a fun car. Cant really use the Z06 with baby so it sits constantly. Price seems good no? Thanks!

Not sure about the price but definately sure about the car, if it comes with a complete repair history.

You're in the price range of an E39 M5! I say search the market first then decide yourself

You can get an e39 M5 for the same price and it's not like your worrying about the fuel economy since both 540i and M5 are 8 cylinder. Cars for Sale: 2000 BMW M5 in San Antonio, TX 78218: Sedan Details - 304605327 - AutoTrader.com

You can get an e39 M5 in that price range but have to make sure all the maintenance has been done and stick with 02-03. Maintenance costs are going to differ between a 540 and M5 big time. Also I would look at BMWCCA you will always find cars that have been taken care of BMWCCA Classifieds
