2009 M6 I-Drive Failure
Decided to take the m6 to work today
It's not my DD, so it was sitting for about 2 weeks.
Started up fine, but i-drive will not stay booted up.
it boots up to the home screen for about 30 secs and then goes blank.. and does it all over again.
I have tried resetting it by holding the CD, DVD and volume button but that doesnt work either.
Anyone have ideas?
Have an appointment with the stealer next week, but its an easy fix I'd prefer to do it on my own.
I had a feeling the HDD is fried... Thankfully the car is still under warranty.-Kurt

Whats up buddy. I had to take mine back to the dealer also. When does it go back?

Similar thing happened in my e92 M3. I rarely drive it and the battery had many bad cells and wouldn't hold a charge. Took it in to the stealership and after a new $585 battery, it is fully operational. Now, I have to put a trickle charger on the car so it doesn't happen again. #FAIL
